Hi, I’m Jess -

I’m learning voice writing without a background in law — but with a solid background in tech. I spent about a decade living and working in Silicon Valley before deciding, in my 40s, that it was time for a career change and a challenge that actually excited me.

This blog is where I share what it’s really like to pivot into voice writing: the research, the tools, the learning curve, and the honest in-between moments.

These days I’m based in the Midwest with my two cats, balancing study time with traveling, buying way too many houseplants, hosting board game nights, and cooking elaborate meals for anyone willing to sit at my table.
